Project Overview
In May 2023, Township Equipment Rentals partnered with the Government of Alberta to supply portable power solutions for worker fire camps during the rebuilding of the town of Fox Lake.
The Challenge
The camps were located in extremely remote areas and had to operate in harsh winter conditions, including temperatures reaching -40°C. Reliable, continuous power was critical to the emergency personnel and rebuilding crews.
The Solution
Township supplied multiple 75–100 kW twin generator skids, along with backup power units to ensure uninterrupted operation. All of our equipment was selected specifically for extreme cold-weather performance.
The Results
The fire camps were functioning at all hours because of a reliable power supply, which supported personnel working continuously on recovery and reconstruction activities.
